So you think you know how to blitz, huh?
Watch this Nakamura video and see how blitz should be blitzed!

I know it’s not a new one, but I think that this http://www.chessvibes.com/ analysis of Kramnik-Anand , Corus 2007 from World Champion Vladimir Kramnik is definitely the best video analysis I’ve ever seen. It comes in three 10 min videos. Enjoy and learn!
Part III

From the World Championship rematch between two great players with very different styles, watch this great commented game video from www.letsplaychess.com

Damn Claus. Test Yourself VII kicked my ass. I wasted too many points waiting for the white bishop to move so the king could castle. I think I spent 3 or 4 moves in a row waiting for this to happen
I did get the knight sac tho. I cant wait for Test Yourself VIII to redeem myself.

I knew this game wouldn’t be easy! (To encourage you and others, a FIDE Master on chessvideos.tv scored 19/30), but I think Botvinnik played the game very well: He protected his center, then immediately pinpointed every weakness in the opponent position and finally took ultimate advantage of the exposed black king:
10. Be2 should probably have been awarded a point. If you had that one, please add another point to your total score, Mike!

Ahhhh, redeemed myself on VIII. I only scored 56 % but it’s still much better than what I put up on VII, even with the 2 points you gave me for Be2. It was a very entertaining game, thank you
Claus.

Congratulations Mike.
I don’t think 56% is bad in a game like this.

Claus, I enjoyed IX a lot. It was somewhat difficult, but not so bad that made me want to quit the game of chess
I only scored 50% which for my 1300 rated ass isnt all that bad. I also played thru a few of the candidate moves I came up with on Fritz 11 to see what I could come up with and had a blast doing that too. Thanks again, I am once again looking forward to your next game

For the experiment, I just ran the game (Test Yourself IX) through Fritz 10 giving the engine just 1 minute on each move. Fritz 10 scored 22/30.
I think I’ll do a more thorough analysis at some point…

Hi!
I like your blog, and noticed that it has the intention to teach improving players.
Therefore, I am just wondering if you would be so kind to post a link to these chess videos:

Hopefully they are instructive. The latest games are presented with notation as well. Please take this as an example for consideration:
